DJC-1 Single wire cable vertical combustor
Scope of application:
The single wire and cable vertical combustion tester is primarily used to assess the combustible properties of single wires and cables with a conductor diameter exceeding 0.8 mm or a cross-sectional area of not less than 0.5 mm². The main objective of this instrument is to evaluate the combustibility of single wires and cables. It is suitable for research, production, and quality inspection departments of electrical and electronic products and their components, such as lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine tool electrical appliances, motors, electric tools, electronic instruments, electrical meters, electrical connectors, and accessories.
Functional characteristics of products:
A single wire and cable vertical combustion test involves using a specified Bunsen burner size and specific gas source (propane), igniting the vertically positioned test sample at a certain flame height and angle. It assesses the flammability and fire risk by evaluating the burning duration and burned length.
Relevant technical parameters:
Burner | Internal diameter φ12mm ± 0.5mm |
Test dip angle | 45° |
Flame height | From 20mm ± 2mm to 190mm±1mm adjustable |
Flame time | 0-999.9s±0.1s adjustable |
Burning gas | High purity propane gas or petroleum liquefied gas (note: Gas source and link head user-owned) |
Length of tested wires and cables | 600±25mm |
Outer diameter of tested wire and cable | Conductor diameter greater than 0.8 mm or cross-sectional area greater than 0.5 mm2 |
Standard power of combustion lamp | 1kw |
Supply voltage | 220v/50hz |
Gas flow rate | 0-1L/min |
Air flow rate | 1.5-15L/min |
Box material | Electrostatic spraying of steel plate |
Outline dimension | L 60 cm * w 45cm * h 156cm |
Two flame calibration methods are recommended | Inner flame: 50~60mm,outer flame:170~190 mm 10g copper head heated from 100℃ up to 700℃: 45±5 s(optional) |
If the user opts for the second method to verify the flame, a flame calibration device should be selected. If flame calibration is not considered during initial procurement, it can be added at a later stage if needed.
