Melt Flow Rate Testing Instrument for Plastic Material Flow Rate Analysis and Evaluatio
Operating Principle:
Melt Flow Rate Testing Instrument (plastic extruder) analyzes flow properties by melting samples via a heating furnace at specified temps, then extruding through a die under load.
In plastic production, the melt index measures polymer fluidity/viscosity in molten state. MFR is the average mass (g/10min) of melt through a die in 10 min, calculated as MFR=600×m÷t.
Example: Samples cut every 30s weigh 0.0838, 0.0862, 0.0815, 0.0895, 0.0825g. Average m=0.0847g.
MFR=600×0.0847÷30=1.694g/10min.
