ASTM D256 IZOD Impact Test Machine IZOD Impact Strength Tester
Summary:
The ASTM D256 IZOD Impact Test Machine (IZOD Impact Strength Tester) is primarily designed for measuring the impact toughness of non-metallic materials, including hard plastics (such as plates, pipes, and plastic profiles), reinforced nylon, fiberglass, ceramics, cast stones, and electrical insulation materials. It is widely applied in the chemical industry, scientific research institutions, and quality inspection departments of colleges and universities.
This instrument is an impact testing machine featuring a simple structure, convenient operation, and accurate, reliable data. Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.
Equipped with a 7-inch full-color touch screen, the machine allows input of sample dimensions, calculates impact strength, and saves data based on automatically collected energy loss values. It is fitted with a USB output port for direct data export via a USB drive, enabling editing and printing of experimental reports on a PC.
Working Principle:
A pendulum hammer with known energy strikes the sample supported on a horizontal beam, destroying the sample with a single impact. The impact point is centered between the two supports. By calculating the energy difference of the pendulum before and after impact, the energy absorbed by the sample during destruction is determined. The impact strength is then calculated based on the original cross-sectional area of the sample.
Meet standards:
It meets the requirements of ISO180, ASTM D256, GB / T1843, GB / T2611, JB / T 8761, etc.
