The ISO179 Plastic Digital Charpy Pendulum Impact Testing Machine (Charpy Impact Tester) is supplied to measure the impact toughness of non-metallic materials including rigid plastics, fibre-reinforced composites, nylon, glass, ceramics, cast stone, asbestos board, and electrical insulating materials. It is applicable to both notched and unnotched specimens, featuring a simple structure, easy operation, and high testing accuracy.
Working Principle:
Strike the sample supporting the horizontal beam with the pendulum hammer of known energy, and destroy the sample by one shock of the pendulum hammer. The impact line is located in the middle of the two supports, to impact the energy difference between the pendulum before and after, to determine the energy absorbed by the sample when destroyed. The impact strength is then calculated according to the original cross-sectional area of the sample.
